Aug 8 Dinner at the Fair

We made it to our first destination unscathed and found our hotel just fine. We felt gross and greasy from traveling, so a proper shower was in order. When we got cleaned up, we headed toward Lake Leman because the receptionist at our hotel said there's a big event happening at waterfront.

It was already around 10:30 PM here when we headed out. It wasn't hard to find the lake, and true enough, there were a lot people walking about the promenade, and we saw that it was like a huge fair with live music, food stalls, carnival rides, and games. It was incredible!

We made a quick round to scope out our food options. There were bar tents all over! We ended up going back to one of the very first joints we looked at that was serving sausages.

D had the Currywurst with fries, and S had the Kassewurst served with a roll. The we got drinks from the Biergarten. S had a small beer, and D just got this blue raspberry granita.

Currywurst avec frites -- whatever that sauce was, it would be awesome on rice.

There was just so many food options. D referred to it as the food version of the United Nations, which it technically was. From Thai to Peruvian dishes to burgers and sausages, there were so many options, the smells were deliciously dizzying. Perhaps we will go back tonight though we have dinner plans already set with friends who are also flying in from Seattle.
